Founding Event for the Decidim Swiss Local Chapter

We are delighted to invite you to a special event: on 11 June 2026 in the afternoon in Bern, we are founding together the Decidim Swiss Local Chapter – an association for everyone who uses, develops or supports Decidim in Switzerland.

What is a Local Chapter? Local Chapters are regional branches of the international Decidim community. They enable exchange at the local level, the pooling of strengths and know-how, and a stronger voice within the global Decidim ecosystem. With the Swiss Local Chapter, we are creating a shared home for all Swiss actors around Decidim. This Local Chapter – the first in the Decidim ecosystem – we want to found together with you. Representatives of the Decidim Free Software Association from Barcelona will also be travelling to attend.

The event is addressed to:

• The Swiss Decidim community: people in Switzerland who use, operate, develop Decidim or advocate for the values of the software

• The Civic Tech ecosystem: further actors who are close to Decidim ideologically or technologically

• Representatives of research institutions who engage with Decidim as part of their work

We look forward to bringing the Swiss Local Chapter to life together with you.
